How to submit a copyright takedown notice for content on TrueMantis.
Last updated: October 17, 2026
TrueMantis displays analyses of publicly available online discussions. We respect intellectual property rights and respond to valid takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and to content-removal requests under the data terms of the platforms whose public content we analyze.

TrueMantis hosts derived analyses of third-party public content, not the original works in bulk. Authors and participants may also request removal of their content or analysis directly (an opt-out), independent of a formal DMCA notice. TrueMantis is not liable for any good-faith removal, retention, or restoration of content pursuant to this policy or any removal request described herein.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you believe content on TrueMantis infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@truemantis.com with the subject line “DMCA Takedown” that includes the items listed below. Under Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c)(3)(A), the notice must include the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- The URL(s) on truemantis.com where the allegedly infringing material appears.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Please note that under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.
Counter-Notices
If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address containing the items below. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and, unless the complainant notifies us within ten (10) business days that it has filed a court action, we may, in our sole discretion, restore the removed material within ten (10) to fourteen (14) business days. TrueMantis reserves the right to keep material removed regardless of counter-notice if removal is warranted under any other TrueMantis policy or applicable law.
- Your contact information
- Identification of the removed material and its prior location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district in which you reside (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which TrueMantis may be found), and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice or that person’s agent
- Your signature
Non-Copyright Removal Requests
If you are a participant in an analyzed discussion and want the captured content or your username removed from an analysis (a privacy request rather than a copyright claim), use our data & removal request form, see our Privacy Policy, or email privacy@truemantis.com. This includes content captured via our website, browser extensions, or automated bots.
Platform-Specific Notes
- X and Bluesky: We honor valid removal requests and source deletions consistent with our obligations under the applicable platform terms as in effect at the time of our agreement to those terms, and our Privacy Policy.
- Bluesky / AT Protocol: The AT Protocol is decentralized. Removal from TrueMantis does not remove content from other services on the network. We act on valid notices only for the analyses we host.
Repeat Infringement
We track takedown notices and will, in appropriate circumstances, disable analysis submissions or terminate accounts associated with repeated infringement.
